“The husband goes to work while the wife stays at home.”

そんな昭和型夫婦の考え方に賛同する日本人は未だに多いが、最近のスケートパークでは夫婦ともにスケートを楽しんでいる姿がよく見られる。結婚ましてや子供ができ、圧倒的に自由な時間が減るなかで趣味に打ち込む時間を作るのは難しいだろう。現代の夫婦はどのようにして家事や子育ての分担、さらにはお互いの滑る時間を確保しているのか。

It’s a stereotype of what a happy family looks like from decades ago, and about half of the Japanese still believe in that. On the other hand, cool mothers are often seen by themselves or with their families at skateparks. You can imagine that it would be very hard to make time for skating after a child is born. How do skater families manage to do their housework and take care of their children in order for their fathers and mothers to be able to skate?

今回は、スケーターの旦那さんをもち、1児の母親であるママスケーターのRiyokoさんに話を聞いた。
