新品のデッキは最高に気持ちいい。
折れたり、テールがなくなったり、欠けたり、濡れたり、飽きたり。デッキを新調する理由は人それぞれだけど、やっぱり新しいって嬉しい。個人差はあるが、そのタイミングは遅かれ早かれやってくる。はじめたての頃は、購入したスケートショップなどで取り換えてもらうことが可能だが、最終的には自分ひとりでグリップテープの貼り付けからセッティングまでを行えるようになるのが理想ともいえる。
しかし、自分でやるのは正直ちょっと面倒くさい。全部で8つのビス&ナットをひとつずつ外し、そしてまたひとつずつ付けていく。しかも、スケートツールとレンチが手元にないとはじまらない。自分でセットアップが組めても、ついついショップの店員に甘えてしまう人は多いのではないか。

Nothing feels better than a new deck.
Everybody has their different reasons to get a new skateboard deck: The nose or tail starts to chip, or they get bored of the current ones they have. As you continue to love skateboarding, there will be so many times you need to change your decks in your life. It is okay if you don’t know how to set up your skateboard at first. Someone at skate shops is always willing to help you. And eventually you can do it all by yourself.
But it is a bit of work to change your setup. There are a total of 8 bolts & nuts to keep the trucks and the deck for a standard. You need to take everything out and put them back on. Before that, having a skate tool is most important. A lot of you may want to ask your skate shop friends to do it for you, even though you have been skating for a long time.
